Caffeine is gaining notice as a difference-making ally in athletic performance. In addition to the sources we have cited in the past, including a blog post last month that cited articles in Men's Health and Men's Journal, there is yet another positive review we wanted to share.
It is contained in a June 30 piece at "Sports Are 80 Percent Mental," by Dan Peterson.
He quotes Dr. Rob James, the lead researcher on a recent study at Coventry University in the UK: "A very high dosage of caffeine, most likely achieved via tablets, powder or a concentrated liquid, is feasible and might prove attractive to a number of athletes wishing to improve their athletic performance."
"A small increase in performance via caffeine could mean the difference between a gold medal in the Olympics and an also-ran," Dr. James added.
XS Energy Drinks don't have sugar and they have hardly any carbs. But aside from the caffeine-free versions that we offer, our drinks do rely on caffeine, along with other great stuff like adaptogenic herbs and B vitamins, to give you, the citizens of XS Nation, the outstanding boost you've been counting on for the past eight years.
